Another alternative would be Dragon Rider Amulet, though you’ll be sacrificing a bit of your accuracy upon wielding it, it’s a good option to go for. A plus point is that this amulet doesn’t degrade and, in some scenarios, it is known as the best-in-slot item for Magic, and similarly works decently with Melee and Ranged.

Best-in-slot Rings

Speaking in terms of the best in-game ring that provides a good bonus; Ring of Death can grant you 50% adrenaline, which varies depending upon the Life Points of the enemy in the given moment. It carries an effect that out beats Death’s Office by sacrificing a 15% charge. Another option would be the Asylum Surgeon’s Ring that can be effectively used, as it has a 10% chance of not using adrenaline during the initial point, allowing you to pull good combos.

Known as one of the most popular skills in OSRS, Thieving is a member-only privilege. It offers a great way to make OSRS Money without having to engage in tough battles. Similar to all the other skills, Thieving gives the best return at the highest levels, so that’s what we’re here to help you achieve. Let’s start!

Getting Started

Whether you’re in it to complete your skill cape collection, or you’re in it to make money, the first and foremost thing you need to do before starting out is; switch your ‘Auto Retaliate’ & ‘Attack Option’ off. We’re pretty sure you already know the reason behind it.

Here are a few items that’ll help you along your journey. Ardougne Cloak 3 or 4 (10% less chance of being caught), Rogue Outfit (double loot), Gloves of Silence, and Maple Blackjack & Dodgy Necklace (if Blackjacking).

Quests

To get a head start in Thieving, you can consider completing a few quests, as well as parts of the Ardougne Diary. The quests include Biohazard, Fight Arena, Tribal Totem, Tower of Life, and Hazeel Cult.

Level 1 to 38

You’ll be at an advantage while moving up the early levels if you have Ardougne Cloak on you. Anyhow, start by pickpocketing Men and Women until you reach level 5. You can also consider completing Fight Arena for 2,175 XP instead. This will help you jump right to level 14 Thieving.

Level 38 to 55

The NPCs you pick now depend upon your priorities. You can either switch to Master Farms for a good amount of Runescape GP in the form of Seeds or pickpocket Warrior Women for better XP rates.

Level 55+

Blackjacking requires the completion of a quest called The Feud. So, if you can’t finish it, or you’re not interested in Blackjacking, then you can skip this method and move on to the next.

Once the quest is completed, you need to head over to Pollnivneach to begin blackjacking Bandits and Menaphite Thugs.

The process is to knock out your target, and then pickpocket them while they are unconscious. Make sure you bring lots of noted food to sell to the merchant and repurchase it back (un-noted form).

Level 55+ (Alternative)

Alternatively, you can start pickpocketing the Knights of Ardougne. Make sure you have at least the level 2 Ardougne Cape because you’ll need a hand to reach level 90.

First, you need to trap one of the Knights in a house at the marketplace. Or, you can simply switch worlds to find one where someone has already done it. Finally, spam your heart out for the XP.

Level 71+

Pyramid Plunder is one of the best parts of Thieving. You can access the minigame by accepting the Icthlarin’s Little Helper quest in Sophanem. You’ll have to speak to the NPC called Wanderer with a kitten tagged along with you.

The minigame revolves around searching urns and chests in a pyramid. You can occasionally get poisoned so we advise you to bring lots of food supplies and anti-poison pots. Make sure you’ve also completed the quest called ‘Contact!’ to get access to a bank.

My first impression of the game is very good – it is very easy to set up an account and the introduction is fairly detailed, though it seems to lack information in all parts of the game. The graphics are very good, in 3d, with a wide range of details so any computer, fast or slow, can play it. The music was fitting with the game, and very high quality, if very repetitive. The game also has a large amount of free content, and anyone could easily play the only the free version of the game. To make sure my review is complete, I bought the pay version of the game for one month, using my credit card, at the cost of 5.95$USD. The game offered a wide range of payment methods, though credit cards are the cheapest. You can buy membership for a wide range of time lengths, or a monthly fee.

The game had a large amount of skills and quests. The quests were fun, and there were different lengths and difficulties available, for players of any skill level. The skills were fun, if slightly repetitive. The game was just difficult enough to make it fun, without being frustrating. The explorable world was huge, and there was a large number of “minigames”. I was able to play for hours at a time without loosing interest. The in-game economy seemed well developed, and I was impressed by the holiday events released each year around the time of certain holidays, such as Halloween or Easter.

Compared to other games, Runescape offered a lot of content for free. You could play a majority of skills, and level them to the highest level possible, 99. You could play some quests, though you could play far more in the paid version of the game. The accessible areas were very large. There was an advertisement at the top of the page, but it was a small banner advertisement, and in no way effected the quality of the game. If you are not interested in paying for a game, Runescape is a very good choice.

I would recommend this game to just about anyone. It is fun, has a large amount activities, and has a large number of options for those willing to pay to play, as well as those who are not willing to. The graphics and music is very good, and it requires no downloads, making it accessible everywhere.

Tips on Avoiding Runescape Scams

For Runescape players out there, there is next to nothing more horrible than losing your most prized items–not because they were taken off of your slain player’s body, but because you were tricked into giving them to someone in a legal trade.

There are a few major scams that abound: the ‘Hey, give me your items real quick and I’ll give you something cool.’ scam, the ‘Drop Your Items and Hit Alt + F4’ scam, scams where one player goes into the Wilderness following a player they believe to be their friend into a trap, among others.

A scam that has worked extremely well in the past for many a scammer is the one that goes like this:

Someone advertises a Rune Scimitar certificate for trade. You’ve been looking for a Rune Scimitar for a while, so you go to the player and tell him you want to trade. He offers a trade with you, and you accept. He puts the Rune Scimitar certificate on his side, and just when you’re about to put your money, the scammer will switch the Rune Scimitar certificate for a Mithril Scimitar certificate.

When you confirm the trade, you’ll find that you just bought a Mithril Scimitar for the cost of a Rune Scimitar–something of a 300% overpaying.

A variation of this trade scam works basically the same way, except instead of switching the certificates at the last minute, trying to time it before you accept the trade so that you don’t notice, the scammer will put the Rune Scimitar up on his or her side of the trade, and you’ll accept it, having checked time and time again that it is, in fact, the Rune Scimitar, because you’ve heard of this scam before. But this time, the scammer will exit out of the window and claim that his computer froze or something, and will re-initiate the trade with you, the idea being that you will be in a hurry, put your money up quickly and accept the trade, without noticing that the scammer has switched the Rune Scimitar certificate item he had been trading earlier with a Mithril Scimitar.

These scams work because the Rune Scimitar and Mithril Scimitar look very similar to the new player or hurried player. These two scams work on rushedness and impatience. Always be careful with who you trade with and make sure you inspect the trade carefully. If a trade goes bad, and you have been scammed, report the scamming via the Report button in your game screen.

Another very well-established scam is this:

A player goes around advertising that he is starting a clan (or faction, or club, or party, or whatever you want to call it.), and that one of the requirements is that you have X item. For the purpose of this example, let’s call Item X a Mithril Scimitar. The would-be clan-leader that is a scammer also advertises that, if you join his clain, he would be willing to take your Mithril Scimitar and give you a Rune Scimitar–just for being in the clan.

Because you’re a cautious player, you’ll wait for one of the others that are being invited and initiated into the clan to exchange the Mith for the Rune first. You see the two players go toward each other, trade initiated, and a few seconds later, the person supposedly receiving the Rune Scimitar exclaims something to suggest that they are extremely satisfied. They go show everyone that they did, in fact, get their Rune Scimitar. Now, you’re convinced for sure.

You go give the guy your Mithril Scimitar, and then he runs away with it, without giving you any Rune.

Here’s the trick: all or most of the people supposedly joining the clan are friends of the scammer. They pretend to exchange Mithril for Rune, and show everyone to prove it; then, when they ask you to give them your Mithril, they do. They then run off with your Rune and Mithril Scimitars.

In an even more advanced measure of this scam, once the trade has been completed, the main scammer who is supposedly dealing out Rune items will log off, and then his comrades will exclaim that they’ve all been scammed! They then all claim to report him, and tell you that they’ll go log into the different Servers/Worlds of Runescape to go look for the revealed scammer.

They will try to get you to log out and check another World as well; but once you do this, it becomes impossible for you to report him, because your event log and screencapture from that logon session have been cleared!

Be very careful who you trade with, Runescape players.

For a game, it’s a very treacherous world.
